Basic IVF Support
For infertility that is being assisted by IVF or ICSI many complementary therapies can help. Recent studies have shown that IVF assisted with acupuncture has a higher success rate than IVF alone. Studies have shown that acupuncture before and after embryo transfer can increase clinical pregnancy rates to 42.5% compared to 26.3% in those not receiving acupuncture. Acupuncture is thought
to increase success rates of implantation by increasing blood flow to the uterus as well as relaxing it.
Three Acupuncture Sessions:
- One initial Acupuncture consultation and treatment before egg collection
- One session after embryo transfer
- One session immediately before
- One immediately after embryo transfer
IVF Support Extra
For infertility that is being assisted by IVF or other more invasive procedures many Complementary Therapies can help. We have designed this package to give extra support. Treatment should start around 4 months before the IVF cycle begins bringing you to optimum preconception health maximising your chances of success. However even treatment started one month before can improve implantation success. With a combination of Acupuncture, Osteopathy, Herbs and Nutrition your menstrual cycle will become regulated, your egg quality, fertile mucus and blood flow improved, hormones balanced, endometrium nourished and stress levels lowered.
One Osteopathic check up
Osteopathy is increasingly being used to work directly with the pelvis in cases of infertility. Poor pelvis function can have knock on effects to the rest of the body, leading to organ congestion which can often be one of the major factors preventing the body from conceiving.
A Nutritional consultation
It is important to create the best environment inside the woman to fertilise an egg and diet plays a huge part in this. The Nutritionist will take an in depth analysis of you and your diet using a range of diagnostic aids. An individualised plan will then be designed to suit your specific needs. This should be done at least 4 months before the IVF cycle starts but is still beneficial if only 1 month before.
A Homeopathic Consultation
Homeopathy is a fantastic tool to use alongside IVF and other procedures as it helps on a physical, mental and emotional level. While supporting the actual fertility issues surrounding the couple, Homeopathy can also help combat any side effects from IVF procedures alongside any emotions more invasive procedures can create.
Six Acupuncture Sessions
- One initial Acupuncture consultation and treatment for the female before egg collection
- One initial Acupuncture consultation and treatment for the male before egg collection
- Two sessions after embryo transfer:
- One session immediately before
- One immediately after embryo transfer
- Two sessions of Acupuncture once the IVF drugs begin to reduce any unwanted side-effects of the medication.
